Is it easy or difficult to build in this virtual world?

It is super easy just need a few explanations to make it, plus a tutorial on youtube always comes from good help.

Result: I make a table... is NOT the best, but is to give you an idea of how easy it is to build

What could you build here?

Anything and everything.

By learnig this simple tools I was able to complete the final task of the semester.

My final project was to create a website dedicated to designers and marketing that they perform within Second Life,

in the page I focus on cleanliness and serenity that  can be transmitted by the blues,

in addition to the minimalist concept that was used to show the user only the necessary information, without recharging or annoy,

present the control area (buttons) on the top of the page for user easy access, and a banner with transparent background,

and ending with a footer where you can find related link to the information presented on the page.

After i finish my website i have to make a stand on SL to show my work. These is how it end up looking.

LOOKING NICE!!! LOL

Skimming and scanning

Well here I present some different reading styles for different situations.

The technique you choose depends on the purpose for reading. For example,  if you are reading for enjoyment, information, or  to complete a task, or If you are exploring or reviewing some document, whatever it is you're looking for, you may search for a particular word or for a more detailed information, you can use one of these technique.

Skimming

Skimming is a speed reading technique which is used to locate the general sense of reading or some part of it. This technique will become much time and gives you a general idea of what is the text or paragraph.

Exercises

1. Skimming text to look for main ideas

2. Skimming a school prospectus

Scanning

Scanning is a skill that requires you to read quickly in the search for specific information. To scan a reading text, you must start at the top of the page and then move your eyes quickly to the bottom. In general, exploration is a technique that is useful when you are looking for an answer to a question known. This is especially useful when taking a test.

Scanning means to view and play all you see: an optical scanner is fast but it does not hurt. When "scan" in the reading speed to read every word, punctuation mark and the symbol on the page. Do not build on the words to understand the ideas, complete through words and sentences together and let the meanings come to you.

Interview to Jenne Dibou

Well, we had the pleasure of having an interview with Jenne Dibou an amazing artist that makes buildings within Second Life.

In this interview we (my classmates and I) ask her a series of questions about her life, such as, how much time she dedicated to the virtual world of SecondLife? or what kind of studies did she took? Like 3d modeling or what scripts studies you must possess at the time your interested in this activity.

I found it very interesting being able to share knowledge with someone of another nationality and all these was possible through SecondLife.
